Microsoft Outlook

There are several pieces of information you will need when you're setting up your mail account. You can get this information from the New Domain Vital Information email we sent to you when you set up your account or contact customer service for more information. Those include the following:

  • POP3 Server - www.YOUR-DOMAIN.NAME
  • SMTP Server - www.YOUR-DOMAIN.NAME (or set this to your dialup ISP SMTP server setting)
  • Username - the email login
  • Password

Outlook 97 and 98 are both quite similar and are even set up in the same fashion. Follow the directions below for either package. You can purchase Office 2000 at any computer software store or distributor.

  • Got to the tools menu
  • Choose accounts
  • Click the add button
  • Choose mail from the selections provided
  • Type in your name in the field indicated
  • Hit next
  • Enter your e-mail address in the field provided
  • Hit next
  • Choose "my incoming mail server is a pop3" from the selections provided
  • Enter "www.YOUR-DOMAIN.NAME" (no quotes) for both pop3 and smtp settings
  • Hit next
  • Select "log on using"
  • Typ in your email Login and Password (do not choose the second option, spa)
  • Click next
  • Enter a name for you account
  • Hit next
  • Select your method of connection to the Internet
  • Click next
  • Hit the finish button
